Launch Of Smartphones With Android 4.0 Jelly Bean - Google - Droid Views

As last year Google promised to launch the  Ice Cream Sandwich version of the OS in the year ending, now Google is ready to release the Android 4.0 Jelly Bean OS on 5th November 2012. The latest iteration of Android would bring lots of new improvements over the older version known as Android Gingerbread.

One of the reasons to launch Android 4.0 Jelly Bean for the Android OS is that the year 2012 marks 5th birthday of Android OS so Google plans to launch the Jelly Bean to celebrate its birthday. The second reason to launch the new OS is presenting a gift to Android fans because Google wants to leave a greater impact on its fans from the year 2013.

Google also paying attention towards iPhone 5 which is also coming in this year-end. Jelly Bean could give Apple a tough competition and Google could hope to scoop the new mobile operating system from Microsoft Windows Phone 8.

Android 4.0 Jelly Bean is the 10th version of the OS. Besides the brand new features, the Jelly Bean update will be introducing Google’s new design language for the OS known is “Holo”. The new Holo design will reflect in all parts of the user interface.

Android 4.0 Jelly Bean will also integrate the ability to add widgets and other shortcuts on the home screen. That means you can not resize and rearrange widgets for a great-looking home screen setup. As for the Jelly Bean notifications, they will not only be expandable but actionable too. All you need to do is to pull down the notification shade, tap the notification to expand it and take actions like clearing it. In some apps, you will be able to even respond to the new notifications.

Update: Looks that the new we broke out earlier was just rumor. Google did release 4 devices including the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 7 tablet device.
