LG has been suffering losses in the smartphone business for far too long like Sony. Also like Sony, LG had been making some really good devices until the Chinese competition got too overwhelming. The company launched another good smartphone, the LG G8 ThinQ this year and the LG G8 ThinQ wallpapers are almost as good as the internals. There are 25 wallpapers in 4K resolution with 1440 x 3120 px size. Today we also have the LG G8 ThinQ live wallpapers and system apps for you to download, in addition to the LG G8 ThinQ stock wallpapers. Grab all LG G8 ThinQ stuff exclusively from below!
As I said, the LG G8 ThinQ is a good smartphone but it is marred by useless “features”, also known as gimmicks. We can’t really blame LG for this I suppose. The company desperately needs a hit and they’ve tried all they could to make the LG G8 ThinQ stand out. In the end, it just comes across as a generic 2019 flagship with a few gimmicks up its sleeve.
Design
The LG G8 has the same form factor as its predecessor, the LG G7 ThinQ. It’s also made of similar glass slabs bound by a metal rim, but then it’s also the same design almost every other phone uses. LG uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at the front, Gorilla Glass 6 at the back, and an aluminum frame. At a time when even Samsung is going for triple cameras, LG sticks with two on the back. This time though, the dual cameras are aligned horizontally whereas, on the LG G7, they were aligned vertically. There’s also no camera bump at all which is a small differentiating factor and a plus point.
The LED flash sits to the right of the cameras and below this camera set up is the fingerprint scanner which sits right above the G8 ThinQ branding. The LG logo is placed at the bottom. Flipping it over you get the now normal thin side bezels, a sizeable notch at the forehead of a giant 6.1-inch screen and a chin at the bottom. At least the chin is smaller than the one on the G7.
A Google Assistant button and the volume buttons are located on the left side while the Power button sits on the right. The 3.5mm headphone jack makes a return alongside a USB Type C charging port and a single speaker grill at the bottom.
Specs
The front features a 6.1-inch P-OLED touch screen with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 3120 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The screen is HDR10 and Dolby Vision certified. All of that put together with the pixel per inch density of 564 makes up for a great display. As you’d expect from a flagship Android phone in 2019, the LG G8 ThinQ is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855.
The CPU on the chip is paired with the Adreno 640 GPU. There is 6GB of RAM to help the processor out with 128GB internal storage. There’s a dedicated microSD slot for the dual SIM variant which supports external storage up to 512GB. Whereas on the single SIM variant, the second SIM slot can be used as the microSD slot.
There’s a decent 3500mAh battery powering the setup. It supports Quick Charge 3.0, allowing fast charging at 21W as well as 9W wireless charging.
Camera
On the front is an 8 MP camera sensor with an f/1.7 lens which is also a 26mm wide angle lens. The dual rear camera setup consists of a 12 MP, f/1.5, 27mm (standard) sensor with predictive Dual Pixel PDAF, and OIS. The second is a 16 MP, f/1.9, 16mm (ultrawide) sensor without autofocus capabilities.
Official LG G8 ThinQ Wallpapers (4K)
There are a lot of wallpapers in the LG G8 ThinQ stock wallpapers pack, 25, to be more precise. These range from minimal flat designs and landscapes to Google earth styled wallpapers. All of the wallpapers have the same resolution as the device’s display, i.e., 1440 pixels by 3120 pixels.
We have attached only 16 of the 25 LG G8 ThinQ wallpapers below but these are compressed JPEGS. For the full wallpapers in their original quality, download the zip file linked below.

Download LG G8 ThinQ Live Wallpapers
The LG G8 ThinQ comes with 6 additional live wallpapers on top of all the static ones. All of these are triggered when the device is unlocked and the animation only lasts a few seconds. Download them using the link below, extract the APK files and install them normally.
These should work on any device running Android 9.0 Pie. I tested the LG G8 ThinQ live wallpapers APKs on my OnePlus 6 and Galaxy S9+ and they all worked perfectly.

Download LG G8 ThinQ System Apps
As mentioned in the beginning, we also have the LG G8 system apps for you to download. Unlike the Live Wallpapers though these apps will not work on any device other than LG devices. Even then, your LG device should be on the latest Android Pie firmware for these apps to work. Thes are mostly updated LG apps from a newer device. Take a look at the screenshot attached below to check all the contents of the Zip file.
