It is of no surprise that amidst poor Android tablet sales, Samsung is only one to out a high-grade slate every year or so. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is one such tablet for a handful of Android tablet fans. As in, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 employs a fingerprint reader under a WQXGA Super AMOLED screen, which is a segment-first. The display’s resolution and aspect ratio are 1600 x 2560 pixels and 16:10 respectively.

The performance is handled by the still flagship-grade Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC (by “still” we mean the new Snapdragon 855+ was outed recently). As far as storage and RAM options are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 comes in a 128GB and 256GB flavor both featuring 6GB and 8GB of RAM respectively. For storage expansion, a MicroSD card slot is available.

As expected from a Samsung flagship Tablet, an S-Pen that functions similar to one from the Galaxy Note 9 is included and is now magnetic (à la iPad Pro!). Also, the same quad speakers tuned by AKG are carried over from the Galaxy Tab S4. Having said that, audiophiles will be disappointed for the lack of an audio jack in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6.

A dual-camera system is employed in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. As in, we do have a primary 13MP (wide) (f/2.0) + a secondary 5MP (ultra-wide) (f/2.2) sensor setup. On the front, there is an 8MP (f/2.0) camera. Both the rear and forward-facing cameras can capture videos at a resolution of up to 2160p @ 30fps and 1080p @ 30fps respectively.

Battery, connectivity, and Android OS version

Powering up the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is a 7040 mAh unit. A USB-C port and fast battery charging (15W) are onboard.

As for connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 features Dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE along with GPS for navigation and location services.

As far as the Android version is concerned, The flagship tablet boots Android 9 based Samsung One UI. Speaking of One UI, we also have Samsung DeX for a pseudo-PC experience. The available Book Cover Keyboard from Samsung can enhance the experience even further with better multi-tasking and productivity.
