Nokia 1 Plus: Point A to B, basic “mobile-ity”
IPS LCD, MediaTek chipset, Android Pie Go…
The Nokia 1 Plus aims to be your secondary phone. Or for consumers who want a simple ultra-affordable device just for basic telephony and the likes. With that said, the device employs a 5.45-inch 480 x 960 pixels IPS LCD display. Do not panic folks, you read that right, again there is no HD resolution to be seen here, which is disappointing in 2019.
Much like the display, the chipset is a budget-grade Quad-core MediaTek MT6739 coupled to a PowerVR GE8100 GPU. The CPU is clocked at 1.5 GHz. Coming to storage and RAM, the Nokia 1 Plus comes equipped with a poultry 8GB of internal memory and best-in-class for 2011 1GB of RAM.
A fingerprint sensor is nowhere to seen on the Nokia 1 Plus, not that we expected it to be equipped with one.
A camera, just in case!
Photography on the Nokia 1 Plus is handled by a basic single camera system at the rear. There is an 8MP primary camera. A 5MP selfie camera is onboard. The rear and the front-facing camera can record videos at a resolution of up to 720p @ 30fps.
Battery and charging, connectivity and Android version
A 2500mAh is inside the Nokia 1 Plus for getting it going and do its job. Don’t even think of any sort of Fast Charging tech onboard here.
As far as connectivity is concerned, it has you covered with Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE. GPS is available for navigation and location-based services. Thankfully, a headphone jack is present in the Nokia 1 Plus!
The Nokia 1 Plus runs Stock Android Go 9.0 Pie out of the box.
